Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Bluepeak collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to candidates, recruiters, and hunters using the platform.
1. Data we collect
We collect: account data (name, email, password, role); profile data (CV, experience, skills, company details); application data (the jobs you apply to and the messages you exchange); and usage data (log and device information needed to operate and secure the service).
2. How we use your data
We use your data to provide the platform, match candidates with opportunities, enable messaging between candidates and recruiters, send service communications, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Email communications
We send four categories of email. Transactional emails (account verification, password reset, security) are required to operate your account and cannot be turned off. Notification emails (recruiter messages, application updates) are enabled by default and can be turned off at any time from your account settings or via the unsubscribe link in each email. Job match alerts are a daily email listing new jobs that match the skills on your profile; they are enabled by default for candidates and have their own switch in your account settings. Marketing emails (product news, tips) are sent only if you explicitly opt in, and you can opt out at any time.
4. How we share data
When you apply to a job, the relevant recruiter or hunter can see your application and profile. We use trusted service providers that process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards: Amazon Web Services for cloud hosting and email delivery; Cloudflare, which protects our contact form against automated abuse; and Google, whose map of our office loads on our contact page only after you choose to display it. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and personal data are erased immediately and your applications in progress are cancelled. Any residual records we must keep to meet our legal obligations are held in anonymized form for a maximum of 24 months, then permanently deleted.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise email choices directly from your settings or the unsubscribe link, or contact us for other requests.
7. Security
We protect your data with measures including encrypted transport, access controls, and private file storage with time-limited access links. To keep you signed in and to avoid losing a form you are part-way through, your browser also stores your session, your profile and any in-progress drafts locally on your device; that local copy is obfuscated rather than securely encrypted, and it is cleared when you sign out. Use a personal device, or sign out when you finish on a shared one. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of significant incidents where required.
8. Cookies and browser storage
We use cookies and equivalent browser storage that are strictly necessary to operate the site — keeping you signed in, remembering your language, preserving a form you are part-way through, and protecting our forms from automated abuse. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The map on our contact page is loaded from Google only after you click to display it. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie and storage key individually, and you can review or change your choices at any time from the Cookies link at the bottom of any page.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app, and the "last updated" date above will reflect the latest version.
